"Hi, I'm Rev'd Stephanie Gillingham, Priest-in-Charge of    Widford Parish where we have something for every age  group.

We have two worship centres offering a more traditional  (but relaxed) style of worship at St. Marys and a modern  style of band led worship in Church of the  Holy Spirit.

You are very welcome to come to our events and services across the parish  Facebookso why not have a browse around our site and see what we have for you? We also have a Facebook page to keep you up to date with events, so why not click on the logo to visit us there, too?"

The Parish Church of St. Mary, Widford, proudly stands in the gateway of Chelmsford on the Chandlers Roundabout leading to Hylands Park and house. It was built in 1862 by Arthur Pryor from Hylands house, the then centre of Widford Village.

Church of the Holy Spirit was built in 1961 when the people of St. Marys realised that two housing estates and an industrial estate were building up.  Church of the Holy Spirit is in Forest Drive, the centre of the housing and industrial estates.  (Our Parish Centre is attached to Church of the Holy Spirit)

You will receive a warm welcome at both churches.  We have a number of events and activities to which you are warmly invited to join us.
